What an English major takes away just based on tone is not always what was iiintally intended by a writer. I have this really annoying habit of reading between the lines which can lead to me taking emotional vehemence to the next level.I also already went through my man-hating uber-feminist phase and burnt out within a few months. I just can't waste my energy on it as much anymore. The world's view of women is changing, more slowly than I would like, but it still is. However, for me, there are more pressing issues that involve the survival of all the world (human and non-human), not just the safety and rights of women. But I don't have the same experiences Chris has, if I did, I might feel the need to focus my attention in that direction.However, my wish for a clean environment and her wish for a society without violence against women are united in a single concept. Compassion. For that, I respect her. I just take how far she goes on her rants not as a sign of compassion towards other victims, but as a sign that she wishes to remain a victim forever.
